What to expect, What you get, and packages

-It is important that we are able to communicate about the type of portraits you are interested in. I want to be sure I capture just what you are looking for. I will have many ideas, suggestions, props, etc. but ultimately, it's what you imagine that I want to capture. We will discuss the kind of portraits, make a decision about location (in studio or on location), and look through my portfolio for ideas.

-I will spend between 1-2 hours taking photographs. I want your session to be relaxed and natural. It needs to be a positive experience, because that shows through in the pictures. I don't rush- we stop and feed babies that need to be fed, or soothe little ones that are unsure. If we need a diversion, we play in-between shots, couples kiss, and all the while I take a lot of candids. Most often these un-posed photos are the "treasures." You will never say "cheese" with me, the smiles and giggles, looks of longing and wonder have to be genuine.

-After we finish I will pour over every image and create many effects using multiple photo editing software programs (vignettes, soft focus, lighting effects, sepia, black and white, text additions like names, and many other touches that make your portraits one of-a-kind masterpieces. I love this creative part of the process. These images will be saved as jpeg files that you can print out as you'd like, at any size.

-After your session, we will meet to view your images created on a keepsake DVD. Your portraits will available in an online gallery and available for you to view for one week. This way you can take your time and choose your first 5 images (included with the sitting fee) These will be given to you in jpeg format on a CD, with a copyright release for printing as you choose as well as my recommendations for sizes, etc. Payment is due at the time of your order.

-A keepsake DVD set to music that showcases all of your proofs is also available. This can be purchased for $50 and is a beautiful way to share all of your portraits with family and friends, as well as become a part of your family history.
